(Well, I looked through the spare parts and cobbled together a character. I'm not sure if I did it right though, or even if whether I'm supposed to post it or to send it as a note first to have it approved. Oh well.)
Name: Ticedo
Level: 1
Race: Umano
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Height: 6ft. 2in.
Weight: 200 lbs.
Birthsign: The Warrior
Description:
He has light brown skin and dark brown hair typical in Umano locals. His eyes are unusually blue, a trait passed down through his family for many generations. He has a fairly average build, though his years of military training have left him more muscled than usual. His hair is trimmed to the appropriate length for his station, but otherwise unkempt. He shaves just enough to have a perpetual amount of stubble. He wears his battle armor everywhere, even while off duty, and brings his sword with him in his scabbard although he leaves the shield as he finds it too cumbersome for everyday activities. The armor increases his bulk, making him appear much more imposing. It's worn appearance gives him a somber demeanor.
Personality:
His personality summarized in a phrase is; 'he doesn't have time for you'. Between the practicality instilled in him by his miliary training and the shame and pain from his past, he has little care for and gives little thought to things outside his interests. When he has or is given a goal, he has a tendency to focus on accomplishing it despite all else, although he has a limit and sometimes knows when to give up. He finds little need for subtlety in both combat and conversation, always taking the most direct route towards his objective. He largely follows the philosophy of 'if you aren't a part of the solution, you're part of the problem'. He's not without sympathy, but he's not likely to go far out of his way to help unless given a good reason to do so. One thing of note is that he seems relatively more tolerant of non-humans than most Umano, though whether this is genuine, or due to him just being intolerant of most people is unknown.
History:
Ticedo was born to a well off but little known family that operated a military academy up in the northern mountains of the Umano wilderness, that taught and unusual form of combat which makes use of both sword skill and magic. He began training at an early age than most, and soon he became proficient with both blades and spells. Given the isolation of the academy, he had no permanent friends. He made friends with the soldiers often, who found his youth and curiosity a refreshing change of pace from the daily training. Military was all he was familiar with, and his great dream as a child was to join the military and become an unbeatable general and warrior.
It came as no surprise then, that when he came of age he enlisted. Given that there were no wars occurring at the time, Ticedo found it to be surprisingly boring work after his training at the academy. He was found to be a very capable soldier, and was soon given command of his own squad despite his age. However, it was not long after that when disaster struck. He and his men were on a routine patrol escorting a trade caravan, and they had set up camp for the night. Someone, or something, attacked the camp. It massacred everyone except Ticedo, who barely managed to escape with his life.
He eventually made his way back to make his report. Due to the vagueness of the report (Given that the attack happened at night and he barely managed to survive, Ticedo was never able to ascertain who or what attacked him and his men) and the apparent inability of a knight captain to carry out a routine patrol, they though some discipline was in order. Given his distinguished service beforehand they thought dishonorable discharge would be too severe, so they reassigned him to a lower position in city guard. He has performed that job dutifully, despite being frustrated and sullen about being forced into that position, for six months now.
