My first character hasn't even done anything yet and already I've made a second one.
Well here he is, waiting for the final approval.
Alexander (Lex) Mustavo
Level: 1
Race: Abatar/Werewolf
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Height: 5ft. 10in.
Weight: 100 lbs.
Birthsign: The Mage
Description:
Human Form: Lex is particularly scrawny for an Abatar. His years spent training with the Mages' Guild left him somewhat unprepared for the life on the streets he lives now, and so he eats what he can find which usually isn't much. This leaves him thin, although he's learned to survive and so is not without some physical ability. He always wears a tattered brown cloak (to cover up his lack of shirt) and equally tattered, baggy brown pants. Aside from these, he looks like an average Abatar.
Wolf Form: Lex's wolf form is significantly larger and heavier than his human form, and appears to be healthier too. His eyes remain the same, and his fur is the same colour as his hair. He's still thin, but it's less noticably and it has just as much to do with his agility as his malnourishment.
Personality:
He's very timid. He would be much more at home in the lab than on the streets. He tends to try to avoid people he doesn't know, and will only approach them if he desparately needs to talk to them. This is partly due to his discomfort with his situation, and partly due to his fear that he will hurt and likely kill anyone who gets too close to him given his 'condition'. He's still somewhat naive, but he has been tricked enough times to be skeptical about anything offered to him. He's limitedly capable of fighting, and much prefers to distract his foes long enough to escape. Whenever he has a good opportunity to, he looks for a cure for being a werewolf.
In wolf form, he's mindlessly aggressive toward everyone and veiws them as either prey or rivals. The only exception to this, is in wolf form he would act protectively of friends. When he returns to human form, he's vaguely aware of what he did while in wolf form and can remember significant events clearly.
History:
From a very young age, Alexander always had a fascination with magic. He became an apprentice of one of the many mages in his home town as soon as he was able to, were he proved very competent though not exceptional. Though his dedication and his mentor, he gained acceptance to the Mages' Guild at a younger age than was usual and immediately was hired to assist with research his mentor had been participating in.
Everything had been going exceptionally well for him until he made a small mistake. He miscalculated certain energy values for one of the experiments, and a small explosion ensued. The explosion did hardly any damage to the lab and would not have affected the experiment at all had it not knocked Alexander unconcious. The nature of the explosion combined with him suddenly losing conciousness, unbeknownst to him at the time, caused him to turn into his wolf form for the first time. He has no further memory of that day, but awoke later covered with blood and hearing that his mentor had been murdered. Putting two and two together he left town. He quickly realized the basics of what was happening, and gained a rough knowledge of what causes him to shift. Since that time he's been wandering from town to town living on the streets, eating where he could find food, and researching werewolves and a possible cure as much as was possible for him, which hasn't been a whole lot. Towns and cities he visits tend to have a number of deaths either due to wild animal attacks or a serial killer, depending on how the deaths are interpreted.

Creates a sudden bright light which blinds temporarily and in doing so can stun. Has a lessened effect on the user.
Detect Hostility: Practical magic
For 5 seconds, determines how immediately hostile (i.e. wants to cause direct harm) every living being within a 10m radius is towards the user. Note that it doesn't detect friendliness; a character who's indifferent towards to user and one who's friendly towards the user will register the same. If the user cannot see the person, the the hostility is still felt although only from a very general direction. e.g. one could tell a nearby assassin is trying to kill them from behind, but they would not know specifically from where.
Werewolf Manifestation (minor): Transformation magic
The user temporarily gains claws and a muzzle full of sharp teeth. Minorly improves their senses and reflexes. Downsides is using magic is much more difficult, and the user is influenced by wolf instincts. Lasts 1-3 hours.
Apprentice's Folly: Alchemy magic
Creates a simple potion that when smashed creates a small burst of an element (which element is determined by materials used). Prone to premature detonation if not correctly stored and transported.
Special: Werewolf
The following are natural triggers for a transformation: full or nearly full moon (although he can resist this particular change), significant hunger/starvation, extreme tiredness or involuntary unconsciousness i.e. anything but sleep, feeling his life or the life of a good friend threatened. It is also theoretically possible that the right spell could force him into wolf form.
When in wolf form, he is much faster and stronger (and noticeably larger) than his human form, but is reduced almost to solely his instincts. He is incapable of casting spells and can only utilize simple forms of communication. He may be subject to the effects of Husbandry Magic, depending on the situation, the spell, and its caster.
