The Renard are a fox-like beast race that lives in the western part of the world (Kingdoms of High Wood). The area that they live in is mostly gentle rolling hills with lightly forested area and some mountains in the southern part on the border of the Dark Elves and the Umano. The Renard, being anthropomorphic foxes, generally have red colored fur (white tips on the tail) and are lean built. They are capable of running on both four and two legs.
The Renard have some of the most secure political entities with several kingdoms taking up most of the territory, and some city-states on the coastal regions. Society in the Renard tends to be split among three different generalizations. The first is the clerics, which tend to serve as both religious and governmental figures within the towns. The second is a middle class and peasantry, and the third a class of thieves, street urchins, etc. It is possible to move up and down throughout these various classes, though the cleric class requires training and studying for many years.
The abilities and personalities of the Renard tend to be split between the classes. Clerics have some skills in the magic arts, with a leaning towards the healing and illusionary arts more than combat. Being a cleric is a position that brings much respect as they are expected to be the leaders of a town. Middle class Renards may or may not have magical abilities and are generally kind people most of the time, though the businessmen that exists are known for being very tricky. The lower classes of Renard society are known to be very skilled in the art of stealth and thievery as it is about the only way for them to survive. They may know some magic related to this, but usually they do not have much magical skills. Most Renard do not have prejudices against other races as the Renards in general try to stay out of the conflicts of others, only stepping in to restore a balance quo if needed.
